TUMC MEMBER UPDATE  

We would like to provide you with a brief update as to what the Toronto UAS Staff, along with members of the Administrative Committee, Forum Planning Committee, UAS Regional Gathering Planning Committee, and Member Selection Committee have been working on from September 2008 - February 2009.   

The Toronto UAS Staff has focussed their efforts on the delivery of; 

• Toronto UAS Booth at the Canadian Aboriginal Festival
• Membership Recruitment Campaign, including rating/selection process and final reporting to TUMC
• Call for Proposals; Community Engagement Project funded by the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs
• Hiring and working with TAP Resources, to deliver the Community Engagement Sessions
• Creation of a Toronto UAS 20 minute and 5 minute DVD highlighting project success
• Creation of a Toronto UAS Power Point Presentation to present during the UAS Regional Gathering
• Winter Forum/Community Planning Workshop, with a Reporting Supplement to the Community Plan
• Handling flow through agreement and participated in the Planning of the UAS Regional Gathering, funded by the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs
• March 28-29 UAS Planning Session at the Delta East Hotel, hiring of Facilitator, et al
• Creating Agendas and Minutes for all TUMC Meetings
• Bookings for the Aboriginal Policy Research Conference in Ottawa, March 8-12^th
• Day to Day Administration of the Toronto UAS Office 

We will continue to deliver on the following items until March 31, 2009; 

• Community Engagement Session Invitations and preliminary results reporting March 28^th.
• Attend the Aboriginal Policy and Research Conference/TUMC information sharing
• New Member Orientation and Invitations to the UAS Planning Session
• March 28 - 29^th UAS Planning Session Event at the Delta East Hotel
• 2009/10 Capacity Building Budget and Work Plan Development
